WOMEN'S SOCCER: OPENING DAY

The Hornets opened up their season at home against LA Harbor College on Tuesday losing a tough one 5-2.

LA Harbor jumped out to an early lead scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Seahawks added another goal at the 20 minute mark and then another with 17 minutes left in the half.

FC scored at the 15 minute mark on a goal by Amalia Serna with the assist by Channing Cordova.

Down 4-1, FC cut the lead in half when Alyssa Larios knocked one into the back of the net with 15 minutes left. Madison Wells helped out with the assist.

LA Harbor kicked in the last goal of the game with a minute left in the match.

"Unfortunately, we made some early mistakes, but the good news is we corrected those mistakes and look forward to playing our next game", Hornet Head Coach Pam Lewin.

Fullerton may have lost the first game of the season, however, this team has a lot of new talent to go along with the sophomore team captains Mallory Van Voorhis and Johanna Moran. Keep you eye on this team by coming out to support them.

Up Next: FC (0-1) will travel south to Palomar College on Friday, September 4th. Game time is at 4:00 pm.
