WOMEN'S SOCCER: ALL TIED UP

The Hornets hosted Orange Empire Conference rival Golden West College on Tuesday and pulled of a 3-3 tie with a last minute goal.

Fullerton was up 2-1 by the end of the first half after scoring two quick goals at the 9 and 11 minute mark. After GWC's Jessica Cowles kicked in the first goal (third minute), a free kick from the left side by Tatsiana Loscutoff allowed Brooke Morris to chip the ball in for a goal. FC scored their second goal on shot that hit the far post from Marlena Carrillo. The assist came from Loscutoff.

In the second half, the Hornets led until the 67th minute when GWC's Cowles struck again to tie it up at 2-2. The Rustlers moved in front 3-2 in the 88th minute on a goal by Delilah Resendiz.

With a minute left in regulation, Emily Valdez kicked the ball over to Loscutoff who crossed the ball from the right side scoring the game-tying goal.

Hornet goal keeper Marla Debarros had 5 saves and 3 goals against in 90 minutes.

Up Next: FC (2-7-1 overall, 0-5-1 OEC) will host Norco College this Friday, October 7th at 3:00 pm.
