The Lady Hornets beat Irvine Valley College 3-0 at home on Friday in an Orange Empire Conference game. Sophomore Emily Valdez had a big day for the Hornets scoring 2 goals for a much-needed win.
Valdez scored the game's first goal at the three-minute mark on an unassisted breakaway.
Amalia Serna received the pass the pass from Marlena Carrillo from the left side scoring the second goal in the 47th minute.
From the top of the box, Valdez struck again scoring the third and final goal with seconds left in the game on a pass from Carrillo.
Fullerton goalie Marla Debarros did not allow a goal and had 7 saves in 90 minutes of play.
Up Next: Fullerton (3-9-3 overall, 1-7-3 OEC) will host Orange Coast College on Tuesday, October 25th at 3:00 pm.
