WOMEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS OUT-RACE MUSTANGS

In an Orange Empire Conference match-up, Fullerton won big at home Friday beating Norco College 4-1.

The win keeps FC in the conference race at 3-1-1 with an overall record of 6-2-1, while Norco remains winless in conference with an overall record of 1-5-1.

The Hornets managed to keep the ball on their opponent's side of the field for a majority of the game using speed and an aggressive approach. After a few missed shots on goal, Fullerton knocked in its first goal on a shot by Taylor Hobbs in the 27th minute. Ivaneli Marino provided the assist.

Soon after, the Mustangs attacked back scoring three minutes later when Angelina Tellez knifed through for their only goal of the game.

FC retaliated in the 36th minute when Hobbs kicked in her second goal on a pass from Alyssa Madrigal.

The second half belonged to Fullerton as Brianna Remedios took a pass from Hobbs to score in the 73rd minute.

The Hornets sealed the game three minutes later on a shot by Madrigal. Marino was credited with her second assist for the day.

FC goalie Savannah Dyer had a goal against and a save in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: The Hornets (6-2-1 overall, 3-1-1 OEC) will against Saddleback College on Tuesday October 2nd at 3:00 pm at the OC Great Park Soccer Stadium.
