W. SOCCER: ONE GOAL WIN

W. SOCCER: ONE GOAL WIN

In an Orange Empire match, Fullerton hosted Santa Ana College on Tuesday afternoon and earned a 1-0 win.

With the win, Fullerton broke a four-game losing streak and now stands at 3-5-1 (5th place) in the OEC, while the Dons are now 1-5-3 (6th place).

The Hornets had plenty of opportunities to score but the ball did not make it to the back of the net until the second half (47th minute). Jayden Romo took the feed from Megan Nickerson and hit the game's only goal from 18 yards out.

From there, Fullerton held strong nearly scoring a couple more times before time ran out.

FC goalie Cindy Suarez did not see too much action as the Hornets controlled most of the game on Santa Ana's end of the field. She did manage 2 pretty saves to preserve the win.

Up Next: The Hornets (6-6-2 overall, 3-5-1 OEC) will hit the road this Friday to play against Orange Coast College (0-5 OEC) for another OEC match. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
