OEC FINALS

The FC women's swim team placed third overall at the Orange Empire Conference Finals this past weekend at Riverside City College.

The Orange Coast College Pirates team won the title on the women's side with 823 points. Riverside City (657 points) placed second, Fullerton finished in third (484), Saddleback was fourth (345) Cypress (317) took fifth and Golden West (314) placed sixth.

For the men, Orange Coast (868 points) earned the OEC title, Golden West (701) placed in second, Saddleback (477) was third, Riverside (366) finished in fourth, and Cypress (286) took fifth, and Fullerton (116) placed sixth.

Day One (Thursday): Fullerton's Anoushka Jaievsky dominated the 200 IM (2:16.11) for the Hornet's lone top showing. Their 400 Medley Relay (4:23.34) squad consisting of Neida Torres, Charley Jackson, Jordyn Lughart and Jaievsky placed second overall. The same relay team with the addition of Estelle Zhou placed third in the 200 Free Relay (1:45.33).  

Day Two (Friday: Fullerton's Anoushka Jaievsky snapped the OCC gold medal streak early in the meet with a top finish in the 400 IM (4:49.91). The Hornets added a silver medal finish compliments of Charley Jackson's mark in the 100 Breast (1:13.89).

Day Three (Saturday): Anoushka Jaievsky of Fullerton placed second in the 200 Breast (2:32.16).
