JAIEVSKY - 3 MEDALS AT STATE

At the CCCAA State Swim & Dive Meet last weekend, FC's Anoushka Jaievsky took 2nd place overall in the 400 Individual Medley race, while earning two other medals in the 200 IM and 200 Breaststroke.

Taking place in the East Los Angeles College Aquatic Center, Jaievsky pulled off a 2nd place finish of 4:54.66 earning a CCCAA State medal.

The 1st place champion was Marie Lucquet of West Valley with a finish of 4:42.04. Lucquet fell behind early in the butterfly with Jaievsky taking a 5-second lead, however Lucquet came back during the breaststroke in leg 3 to win it.

Anoushka took home two more medals with a 4th place finish in the 200 IM (2:14.81) and an 8th place finish in the 200 Breaststroke (2:34.85).

A freshman, Jaievsky will be back for another season in 2023 and will be working hard to improve on her outstanding 2022 season.

Side Note: Jaievsky's youth coach was none other than FC Athletics Hall of Famer Annette Spicer, who holds three Hornet all-time records (100, 200, 500 Freestyle).

For newly appointed head coach Gabriel Martinez, it was a great way to finish the year for the FC swim & dive program. For his positive leadership in women's water polo along with swim & dive, Martinez was recently tabbed as the "Coach of the Year" by the Fullerton College P.E. and Athletics Department.
