MAKING THE GRADE AT MT. SAC TOURNEY

No. 3 in state FC passed a big test over the weekend playing at the Mt. SAC Tournament.

On Friday, the Hornets knocked off Palomar College 21-5. Three different FC players scored 4 goals against the Comets in Jordyn Lughart, Nikki Salerno, and Neida Torres.

In game two, Fullerton took on No. 9 San Joaquin Delta in what was last year's state championship game matchup. Fullerton got some revenge beating the Mustangs 18-3. Leading the way for Fullerton were Nikki Salerno (4 goals/4 assists), Kate De La Mora (4 goals), and Jordyn Lughart. Anoushka Jaievsky also had 4 steals.

On Saturday, the Hornets locked down a big win over No. 2 Santa Barbara City 11-8. Lughart (2 goals), Torres (2 goals), and Alexandra Haluska (2 goals) were the goal leaders.

In the last game of the tournament, the Hornets knocked off Saddleback College 15-4. Adrianna Wong led the way in this one with 4 goals, while Lughart followed with 3 goals of her own.

In all 4 games played FC goalie Alex Airitam held the opponents to a total of 20 goals to Fullerton's 65. All in all, Airitam compiled 35 saves in the last four games.
