Coming to Fullerton College in 2018, Jerry Olszewski comes with quite an impressive resume of coaching accomplishments and accolades.
Olszewski was the Head National Team Coach of New Zealand Swimming from 2016-2017 and put together the largest squad of qualifiers (12) that represented New Zealand Internationally in 11 years.
Prior to his time spent with New Zealand, Jerry has been a member of the USA Swimming National Team staff much of the time from 1996-2016. His former clubs, King Aquatics (1994-2002), Scottsdale Aquatics (2002-2007) and Arizona Gold (2007-2016), have won US Junior National, State, and Sectional Team Championships. Each club team has been ranked in the top 25 of USA Swimming almost every year of his tenure as the head coach of those programs.
Olszewski has hundreds of Junior National qualifiers as well as Junior National Champions to his name and has had numerous swimmers qualify for the US Olympic Trials, Olympic Games, and National Teams both domestic and foreign. He also has had at least one world-ranked swimmer every year since 1996, with one athlete earning a bronze medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. 
A Southern California native, Jerry began his coaching career as a teacher and head swimming coach at Buena Park High School where his teams were Freeway League Champions three times finishing as high as 3rd at CIF. He also produced multiple All-Americans.
His sons, Josh and Ben, continue the family tradition in the sport swimming at Arizona State University. 
Jerry swam at the University of Nebraska and received his Masters Degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico, while also working as the assistant coach for the men's and women's teams for the Lobos.
