Each year, the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) selects one male and one female student athlete from each member college to the Nevco Character Champion Team while naming two top winners of the Nevco Character Champion Award. Irvine Valley College's Soliel Zsibrita and Fullerton College's Steve Perez have been named this year's recipients.

COACHES & COVID is a series of questions answered by the Fullerton College coaching staff addressing the Hornet sports programs, and how they are coping during this pandemic. Hornet Head Coach Greg Aviles has been an excellent addition to the FC coach staff turning the men?s soccer program into one of the best in the state. In four short seasons, Aviles has led the Hornets to two Orange Empire Conference titles and to the playoffs in every season since he took over the reins. Teaching and coaching all online these past few months, Coach Aviles recently sat down to answer a few questions.

The FC men’s soccer has become one of the finest programs in the state since head coach Greg Aviles took over the team in 2016. The team has gone to the playoffs in each of the last four seasons and has won two Orange Empire Conference championships (2018 and 2019). The most impressive part of the program is not only what the Hornets have done on the field, but in the classroom.
